Kevin Nicholson began his spell in charge of Bangor City – his first role in senior management – with a two-legged Europa League tie against Danish club Lyngby. His subsequent debut as a head coach in the Welsh Premier League represented a baptism of fire, as his new side welcomed The New Saints – champions for the past six seasons – to the VSM Stadium. On a Friday night under the lights, however, Nicholson’s new charges produced a performance of great attacking verve to secure a shock 5-2 win.
